How I found
my way here.
I offer kinesiology in Doonan, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
When you enter my space, I want it to feel like arriving at a friend’s home—a place where you can relax and be exactly as you are. You do not need to have everything figured out or become better before you are welcome here. I care deeply about the people I work with, and it is an honour to support you.
What brought me here.
Before kinesiology, I worked as a software engineer. I was capable at my work and had built a career, but I didn’t feel deeply fulfilled by it. I began to wonder who I was beneath the life I thought I was supposed to build.
I’ve always loved asking questions and understanding how parts of a system connect. As I encountered healing practices, that curiosity found a different focus. I became fascinated by receiving sessions, and then by offering them. During 2022, I spent time learning energetic modalities and beginning to practise.
What fascinated me about kinesiology was the possibility of asking the body questions through muscle monitoring, rather than assuming our conscious understanding already holds all the answers. That curiosity led me to move from Melbourne to Brisbane in 2023 to study at the College of Kinesiology. It is still what draws me to this work: people, the body, the nervous system, emotions, and the connections we may discover between them.
What I believe.
Receiving kinesiology changed the way I relate to my own struggles. I no longer see them as proof that something is wrong with me. Instead, I have come to understand how closely our bodies, emotions, memories and beliefs are connected.
I don’t assume I know what another person’s experience means. You remain the authority on your own experience. We can be curious without needing to settle on an explanation.
I’m interested in small things we might notice together—a change in posture, a pause, a deeper breath. Sometimes they give us something to ask about. Sometimes it is enough just to notice.
How I meet you.
I honour your body, your experience and the path you are on. I don’t see you as broken or arrive with an answer about what is wrong. I’m here to work alongside you, without promising a particular outcome.
I bring my full attention and what I have learned. Muscle monitoring offers feedback we can explore alongside what you notice and share. I enjoy following connections without deciding beforehand what we will find. We may notice something neither of us expected.
I’ll explain what I’m suggesting and check in with you along the way. You can disagree, decline a technique, change direction or pause. Your choices matter throughout.
If you are wondering whether kinesiology might be right for you, I would love to hear what has brought you here.
Much love,
Mia

You’re welcome to send me a text. You don’t need to know exactly what to ask—a few words about what brought you here is enough.
